Aqualandia 2018
Aqualandia is opening again on 26th May! This aquatic theme park has won Best Italian Water Theme Park eleven times at the Parksmania Awards and is included amongst the top ten parks in the world. Aqualandia is a unique theme park with 26 aquatic and non-aquatic attractions (including Shark Bay, the only wave pool in the world with sand inside and outside the water, the highest slide and bungee-jumping tower in Europe), 5 entertainment stations and 7 exhilarating high-quality performances, all of which are extremely fun. Brand-new to summer 2018 is the Huracan Air Show, Colombian acrobats who, involve all the artists of Aqualandia in their brand-new one-of-a-kind performances. An explosion of emotions, one of the Park's trademarks. Aqualandia always pays attention to its younger guests. This is why it has created Funnyland. This space is entirely inspired by the world of comics and it is tailor-made to children. Young guests can venture out into the mysterious jungle on board fun cars. They'll come across suggestive temples and unexpected obstacles in the Park, or they'll hop on the fantastic tenders docked at the Harbour Village, or explore the hold of the fishing vessel and discover the hidden corners of the bay. They can also go gold-digging, if they so fancy, and comb the sand of the Rio Grande. In the winter, in Funnyland Isla Dorada emerged from the waters, an island on which young explorers go hunting for ancient Mayan artefacts and baby sculptors give shape to the most creative sand art.
A park’s evolution
Created as a classic waterpark in 1989, Aqualandia has seen a real transformation over the past ten years, as it has evolved towards a new park concept: combining waterpark features with theme park values – a transformation that has seen it elected italy’s no. 1 theme waterpark for the tenth time.
Aqualandia is the only waterpark that offer, each and every day:
8 theme areas
Due to high costs and a short seasonal window, waterparks do not have theme attractions. but as Disney’s parks show, themes are important for offering a dream, and not just a play area. This is why Aqualandia has chosen to invest in theme attractions, which now cover 90% of its area.
26 attractions
As its name makes abundantly clear, water reigns supreme at Aqualandia. But Aqualandia is much more than a simple waterpark. In fact, many attractions have no connection with water at all. So between high-speed descents, itineraries in small vessels, treasure hunts and leaps into the void, all of our guests, whatever their age, will find the attractions most suited to their desires.
7 shows, and more
At Aqualandia, the world’s only waterpark, seven top-flight, professional shows are performed daily. Just like channel surfing between the best shows london or new york has to offer, at Aqualandia you can switch from the stories of Peter Pan and Jack Sparrow (with exciting dives and duels) to a real circus designed just for kids; from the incredible dunks of a basketball game among the ancient mayans to breathtaking somersaults performed by award-winning athletes, concluding with an entertaining show featuring parrots.
4 recreational activities
Days at Aqualandia are truly complete and rich in events. In addition to the park’s terrific shows, special recreational activities are offered, including sports tournaments, fitness courses, and the circus school. In satisfying any demand for fun, we leave nothing to chance.
Endless relaxation
Not everyone comes to aqualandia for its attractions. Many choose our park because it’s a rich alternative to the beach. In addition to finding a real tropical bay at Shark Bay, those looking for some relaxation can enjoy the park’s elegant, comfortable sunbeds (the same model used by leading wellness centres), all immersed among flowers and palm trees, and equipped with sun umbrellas and safes for your belongings.
